Glenn Nyre has 30 years of experience in policy analysis, strategic planning, program evaluation, program and project management, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and professional and organizational development. He has directed dozens of projects funded by a wide range of organizations, including the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Justice, the National Research Council, and several units within the National Institutes of Health, as well as numerous colleges and universities, state departments of education, and school districts. He was founding Executive Director of the Evaluation and Training Institute in Los Angeles, and served in that capacity for 13 years. He has worked at several institutions of higher education, ranging from a small liberal arts college to the central office of a major state university system.
